A community-led movement for young Hindus in Australia - and an open invitation for all Australians to understand one of the world's oldest, most profound traditions.
Our story
Born from a
shared feeling.
We started because too many young Hindus felt alone in their experience - caught between two cultures, unsure of their faith, with nowhere to explore those questions openly.
Hinduism is one of the world's oldest living traditions - 5,000+ years of philosophy, science, art and community. Yet in Australia, it is frequently misunderstood, reduced to stereotypes that fuel prejudice and real harm to Hindu communities.
Hindus Down Under exists to change that - building identity, social cohesion and outreach for young Hindus who deserve a community, and for all Australians who deserve to know this tradition better.
